Unfortunately, though a bunch of people hated Colin, only two mattered the most at that time. Namely then BBC One Controller Michael Grade and then BBC Head of Drama Jonathan Powell (who succeed Lord Grade as BBC One Controller).
Probably the most underrated Doctor ever...and the most screwed over actor to ever play the Doctor as well. I admit, I never knew about Doctor Who until one or two years ago, and I actually got hooked after witnessing a clip on youtube about this doctor in particular. So, while I'm young as hell to say this: The 6th Doctor is and always will be MY Doctor, as well as number 1 in my list of favorites. I know that having been born in the 90s, my doctor should probably be 9, but I started watching with 6, and I loved him! 6th needs more love!
that is so cool that he is your favourite. there are so many people who only recognise 9, 10 & 11 as being the doctors as they are the most recent. it is so nice to see younger people who appreciate the cassics & good classics at that
Yeah. It sucks that they haven't gone back to jelly babies in the 2005-present series. I do hope that after Matt Smith's time they actually fulfill the Doctor's dream of being ginger, and bring back the jelly babies! I think that Benedict Cumberbatch could be a great doctor, and if they don't fulfill his wishes of being ginger, then I'd say Daniel Radcliffe could be a great doctor as well. People don't give him too much credit, they only know him for HP, which is ridiculous. I mean, Dan's personality alone is already sort of like the Doctor's, add in a bit of a serious touch and voila!
yea i know what you mean. i would love to see James Callis play the next doctor. it would be good to get someone a little older again plus he could bring in a little more darkness to the character which i really loved about the earlier dctors.
If they decide to make the doctor dark-ish, which would be brilliant, my ideal doctor would have a haunted look to him. I mean, he'd realize that he's only got either one or a few more regenerations to come and whatnot. I want them to finally show the dark side of the doctor's character, more so than they did with 6. I want to see the cold, ruthless exterior of a Time Lord, with a bit of his childish quirks of course, it wouldn't be the doctor without him moving about all hyper like at times after all. I mean there have been some "Time Lord" moments as I call them, in the newer series but not enough. I want Gallifrey back, I want an amazing, mind blowingly spectacular storyline for the nest two doctors(12 and 13) seeing as there will be 13 Doctors in total due to Time Lord's having only 12 regenerations, unless BBC changed that and they might have.
