this is a custom star trek barbie doll i made as a birthday present for my friend michelle who is a huge star trek fan & also loves barbie.

her star trek uniform is all hand stitched & i curled her hair using the boiling water method.

i printed her com badge onto metalic silver card then added a layer of a product called 'royal coat dimensional magic' which gives it a more 3D plastic feel.

her captains pips were made from tiny gold beads.

for her stand i printed out the logos onto self adhesive film then stuck it onto an actual barbie stand.

finally i gave her a tricorder from an art asylum star trek figure. it was actually the perfect size for a barbie accessory but unfortunately i forgot to include it in the photos.

Eeeeek!

If I could think of a plot, I'd totally write a short fanfic story of this.

Barbie's full name is supposed to be "Barbara Millicent Roberts"--and a plot with a female "Captain Roberts"... that turns out to be Barbie in the last paragraph would be fun--*if* I could think of a plot...
