a guy commissioned me to repaint his motuc motuc frosta figure.

he basically wanted me to repaint her in the colours of the classic filmation cartoon character.

so i basically repainted her dark blue hair to a lighter shade of blue & all the grey parts of her costume were painted bright white.

What did you use or would you recommend using to paint this figure? I have a lot of figures that I want to touch up or add a detail to, but I don't know specs on paint. I know that her skirt is flexible; do you have a recommendation for reducing the risk of cracking?

i normally use enamel paints on my figures. they take a lot longer to dry than acrylics but i just feel they are a lot more durable.

sometimes if a figure has parts which are made from a more rubbery plastic acrylics are better as enamel paints tend not to dry on that kind of surface.

with either of these paints i would always suggest to finish the figure off with a thin layer of matt varnish. this helps protect the paint job & also helps prevent cracking.

for this particular figure i used enamel paints, although her skirt is flexable it is not made from rubber so the enamel paints dried fine on this one.

i hope this was of some help
