seeing as the christmas season is now upon us i wanted to add a couple of new pieces to my nostalgic toon gallery.

for me christmas is a time to be spent with your close friends & family who mean the most to you.
2 people who have had a large influence on my life are my grandparents. unfortunately they are no longer with us but i thought this would be the perfect time to add them to my gallery as they meant so much to me plus its times like christmas we miss them most.

so here is my granda.

Hi Gary...I'm a grandad so I can relate to the comments that have been said ...so nice that you took the time to draw them, my family is in my bucket list to do and as long as the good LORD keeps me and granmum round I will draw them,3 kids in their 30's and eight *grandkids under 10 keep us going,seen them more than our kids","they are all so very special"...Hope my kids remember me as fondly as you remember your grandparents....anyways its been 12 months since your last comment here so its nice to add a comment this time of the year...:iconcoolplz: nev

He must have been some man to respect.

My zeidei (yiddish term) was such a man. While my mom was teaching and going back to college, he and my bubbe took care of me during the day and when I entered school, he would pick up my sister, brother and me until mom would get home.

yes he definately was :)

your zeidei sounds like he was an amazing man also. i guess we are both very lucky to have had such wonderful grandparents who have left us truly happy memories :)

my granda used to always encourage me to do art when i was little. so i guess if it wasent for him i would'nt be doing art today.

yes i had a lovely christmas with my family plus it was my new great-nephew's first christmas so that made it even more special :)
